That's the only credible explanation I could think of myself, other than it was done bysomeone completely barmy.

The other rumour, that it was done by someone (identifiable) with a grudge over a planning refusal, was pretty awful IMO. If I was him and heard anyone say it in the pub I'd sue the pants off them.


The sad part (or more predictable outcome) is that the more publicity this gets the more it will become a target in the future. Other than erect an electic fence around it and mount machine guns posts to protect it what else can you do with people who don't give a toss.
