There's obviously a lot more work for us to do here, and yet we've already done what no-one else seems to have bothered with; long term, intensive observations, throughout the day, night and year! It's suprising how much more one sees when the blinkers of convention are removed and with both the eyes and the mind wide open.

My 9 year old son put it most eloquently a few weeks ago whilst we were on site for 4 days and 3 nights. He said "It's just like it's talking to us Dad, but using light and shade instead of words!"
He's absolutely right, and we're starting to learn the language in the hope that we can discover what the message is.

What was the question again? ;)

When I was there yesterday a very pleasant gentleman arrived with his daughter who wouldn't have been more than 11 years of age. They were on holiday. She was like a breath of fresh air and her 'knowledge' of megaliths etc for one so young astounding. She was super enthusiastic and was so looking forward to visiting the Hurlers and Rillaton Barrow later in the day.
We were all checking out the 'fallen' stone and I commented that it was a bit of a mystery because is was much taller than the gap most people think it came from. Her reply to that was...'Why do you think it was stood upright, maybe it has always been there and was meant to be?'.
