I leave that argument to others. I am not entirely averse to the idea that the thing might have been buried at some stage in its existence, but to function in the way it did, and still does, as a Solar Construct it has to be uncovered, naturally, and we proceed on that basis. One idea, from an astronomical point of view, is that its accuracy led to it 'going out of kilter' and it was buried; emphatically sealed, like West Kennet's star chambers, because it no longer worked.
