Complacency has got to be the word; the one pub in the whole country that probably hasn't been affected by the smoking ban, which stays open all day, and they just don't seem to make any effort where food is concerned.
Nice place to sit outside on a summer's evening though. When I realised the slippery cobbles at the front are actually broken up sarsen stones the place seemed to become an intrinsic part of the circle - though I am sure there are many who will disagree with me about this.
It is a bit of a sheep dip, though i've never tried the food.
I like the staff there though, nice people now i've got to know them, you just have to love some of the regulars too, i've spent many a night in there listening and talking about pure bullshit whilst getting very pished.
It's actually the only pub i go in these days, though admittedly not that often.
