| Hello all, A friend (Plectrum Pippa) and I visited Wayland's Smithy and the Rollright stones on the 17th of August 2009 and I took quite a few pictures with a Fuji 8.1MP digital camera (that has taken many great shots in the past) .. today, browsing the photos, I noticed a strange object in the sky... At first I thought it was a bird, but after studying the profile even further, I'm not so sure - there's a thin line above and below that don't seem to relate to wings. I had taken a second picture within the same minute and this has no artifact/anomaly. Is it a bird, is it a plane? I started looking back over other pictures of the site, and found what could be a second anomaly. If anything I'd say lens flare, but the purple "orb" is off centre and doesn't seem to fit with the lens flare in the shot.
