Re: your, "I had many names for her after Burn Moor, all unprintable!" on satnavs - we could almost start a separate thread on the ups and downs of owning one :-) The funniest thing that ever happened to us was when visiting someone who lives on the coast. We parked in front of her house and, before locking the car, I popped the satnav in to me bag (forgetting to turn it off!!!). All went well for about half an hour and then our host asked if we'd like to see the rest of the house. At the top of the stairs a loud and clear voice suddenly called out from me bag - Turn around when possible!
