OK having taken into consideration the fact that some sites such as Long Meg and Castlerigg will be SWAMPED over the solstice weekend, how about 13th-14th June instead?
The travelodge on the A66 is £56 per night per room but there are other places around too.

Any takers?

OK folks, regardless of what the rest of you are doing, Vicky and I have booked into the Highland Drove http://www.kyloes.co.uk/restaurant/ for the night of 13th June. Bit more expensive than the Travelodge (£65 but that does include breakkie) but closer to Long Meg/Little Meg and Glassonby and with a cracking restaurant. They have 5 rooms, so it may be worth checking out.

Hope to see some of you there
