| Fitz, http://www.themodernantiquaria[...]iden_castle.html?stream=latest You're right, it doesn't get much better........except when you're down in the valley at wasdale Head. I was there last friday, after coming down off Scafell. Nearby, it's worth going to the ancient cairn on top of Seatallan on the north-west side of Wasdale, just to the left of the photo. The top is like a bowling green, the cairn is huge, the stones hoary, and the view is breath-taking. Sampson's Bratfull is well seen from there too. Regards, TE.
