This first bit is for the eds. I'd been reading about the excavation of this site sometime ago

http://www.themodernantiquaria[...]hindwell_cursus_destroyed.html

...and, having just got more works from the CBA covering the region, checked TMA and found the monument to have a 'Disputed Antiquity' tag. Any reason why? Alex Gibson and others seem to think the site was real, but I appreciate there could be subsequent resarch showing it to be invalid - in which case does anyone have a reference to show as such? If not, this site needs the Tag removed. Cheers!

...And nearby (well, not too far away) we have what was initially proclaimed as the Four Stones cursus, described as "being recovered from aerial photographs taken over a number of years." (Gibson, 'Walton Basin Project' CBA 1999: 154) Anyone have anymore info on this site?

Cheers - Paul
