Some years ago I saw a mention of these stones on an old nineteenth century map of the area and went to try and find them, without much success I admit. I forgot about them from that day until this, when I came across a page about the stones on Wikipedia. However, the information therein is scant and subsequent browsing of the net has found no other trace of them. Can anyone shed any light on the subject?
