Hiya .. we are off the the Orkneys in a couple of weeks... we have just bought bikes and were thinking about taking them with us. . . Not having ridden (or done any excercise at all really) for the last 15 years 'til the weekend just gone (owwww!!!! saddle sore!!!!!) would the Orkneys be flat enough not to kill us? From what I've seen it looks like a pretty ideal biking sort of place, but things are different "in real life" as it were...!!!

Any ideas on that? It would also involve buying some kind of contraption to stick on the back of the car, to put the bikes on. If anyone has any advice about them too, that would be good.

cheers!
