I think we would all agree that all stone is old...

In the case of a standing stone it only takes on prehistoric meaning when man puts in finger in the pie, he will either erect it, or use it in some form, these are the reasons it becomes important to us.

we need to ask these questions of the popping stone..

was it erected by man?...no is the answer

was it used by man in anyway?.. i would guess not, unless history or someone can show relevant finds nearby to show that it has prehistoric relation.

In this case the stone seems to only have one modern use and that is for old victorian type folks to have their pictures taken next to it, which is hardly prehistoric use. the stone itself doesn't look that special.
