went and had a look yesterday - had a guided tour of the excavations - everyone was really friendly and helpful. o

on the other side of the road from woodhenge they are excavating an entrace to the walls where a causeway ran toward the river. lots of pits and bone suggesting feasting with the bone thrown over the bank. a bit further up from there another trench has been opened on a depression in the bank.

from geophys on the walls on the woodhenge side of the road a large circular feature has been found which will be excavated next year.

the excavations near the sarsen have revealed a beaker cemetary/burial site.

weekend after this one coming there's a big open weekend with people from time team inc phil harding who will be doing some flint knapping from 2-4 on sunday.

i'm now going to lie down after all that typing!
