I grew up near Moel Famau in Clwyd/Flintshire, and I remember being told in school that the name meant 'Female Mountain' and that it was so called because from a certain angle it looked like a woman lying down. So after reading TMA, I'm desperate to know where that certain angle is! I'm assuming that it's the whole Clwydian range that could produce an effect like at Callanish. It's a long shot,but has anyone here got any idea? The effect should look even more convincing now after they built a 'nipple' on the top of Moel Famau in the 1920s...
