Thought you might like to hear what the CA had to say in reply to my email - very interesting, and something may have got started:

"Thank you for the information you have sent on Churn Knob. One of my colleagues . . . will go out today, hopefully, to visit the site
and assess the damage. As you have suggested, the damage may have been done by a religious group because Churn Knob is supposedly the place where St Birinus preached. It has been extremely useful to have been alerted to this vandalism.

As soon as any further information is available, [we] will let you know."

So presumably no PP, then????
