All changed in here since the places revamp of several years ago...personally I think the prehistoric section has taken a hammering, although other areas too have suffered.
The rock art is now down to several stones and the items from the Thomas Bateman collection very small scale. |

Although not strictly in the Peak District, it does contain alot of finds from around Derbyshire. Many of the rock art boulders have found their way into the museum.
No photography allowed..
and you're always getting moved on for school groups.
