A lovely "local" pub with a huge beer garden that is situated on the b road from Weymouth to Abbotsbury.
The drinks are slightly overpriced for the area (£2+ a pint) but not so much as to inhibit the flow of alcohol down my throat. The food is gorgeous, though again costs slightly more than I'd like to pay (about £7-8 for a main meal). However they do a fine line in steaks, hitting the bloody side of rare superbly.
During the day the pub is quiet and has a fair share of locals and tourists. By the evening most of the tourists go home but the locals are very friendly and this is a really nice pub to get absolutely blotto in.
It has a pool table, table football and darts. Also several quiet little corners, a dining area and on a saturday night someones dad djing in the corner with his mobile disco. |
