An excellent place to base yourself if you want to be within a few minutes walk to Chatton Park Hill. Weetwood moor is quite walkable to also.
The rooms are good, ensuites, single, double, family rooms, decent breakfast. Good bar downstairs, with a full restaurant menu, inc veggie option and a separate smoke free restaurant.
The staff are very helpful and pleasant, even to confused, muddy hippy-types (who wander in soaking wet, making the place look untidy). We were very happy with the place.
Bonus feature: Free internet access in the bar too, so if you need to check on any grid references for panels or whatever, no probs. If you're planning on relying on this, best check it's working when you ring up to book, as it does go on the glitch for the odd week or so, but hey, why sit on a computer, in a warm bar when you could be out looking at indistinct carvings in the pouring rain?
If you're driving, a word of advice, be careful getting into the carpark at the back, it's steep. |
